Description
A large number of garments today are made of synthetic fibres, nylon or polyester, which are based on fossil resources. When they are washed, they lose plastic fibres, which get into the wastewater and unfortunately cannot be reliably filtered out by sewage treatment plants. This is how microplastic particles get into the sea, absorb toxins and are ingested by marine animals and fish. The plastic from our clothes ends up on our plates, harming not only the environment but also us.
The GUPPYFRIEND® laundry bag is a scientifically proven solution to microplastic pollution from washing and one that protects clothes and the environment.
- It significantly reduces fibre breakage and protects clothing.
- Broken plastic fibres are reliably contained.
- It reminds us to change the way we wash and buy.
Use:
- Place synthetic and/or delicate clothing in the wash bag.
- Wash as usual with other items of clothing at max. 40°C.
- Take out the clothing while it is still damp and remove the deposited fibres from the hem.
- Dispose of the fibres in the residual waste.
Hints:
